Honolulu Trip Tips

Royal Hawaiian

The most beautiful hotel ever! It also happens to be pink too. They even have a cute little coffee stand in the lobby that has pink popcorn for sale!!! I guess I might be revealing my favorite color is pink. Ha!! This is a historic hotel and everything about it is perfection. If you don’t stay at the hotel it is more then worth stopping by for a drink at the Mai Tai Bar. It is on the beach and makes for the most beautiful setting and extra good people watching! One of our favorite past times i might mention.

They are the sister property to the Sheraton next door so you have access to their incredible pool. We love spending the day at the pool and ordering lunch poolside. The food is so good!!

Leonard’s

Super cute and delicious bakery and it’s pink too! They have lots of fun things to eat and taste. The donuts are always a win and their cookies are so good too. They also have the cutest merchandise for sale. We have stopped here on our way for a day adventure around the island. I suggest getting here early because it does get busy. I will mention that if there is a line it’s definitely worth the wait!

Noa Noa

This store has the most beautiful and colorful printed clothing. They have things for men, women and children. I highly recommend taking a look. I have a scarf from here that always reminds me of how much I love the island every time I wear it.

Murakame Udon

Great spot for lunch. It’s cafeteria style. They get super busy and the line can get long. I have usually found that it goes pretty fast. They have delicious udon and lots of different types of tempura. This is always a must for us when we visit. There’s just something about how comforting the food and environment is to our family. I hope you find it to be the same for you.

North Shore Day Trip

Another cool thing to do, rent a car and take a day trip to the North Shore and check out the waves. A couple spots to check out are Matsumoto Shave Ice www.matsumotoshaveice.com, Guava Shop www.guavahawaii.com, which is a well curated boutique next to Matsumoto, and the Dole Plantation www.doleplantation.com, the birthplace of dole whip. They have lots of pineapple treats and a cool train ride for kids, that adults will enjoy as well.

Maile

I love the Koke scented products. I first discovered their products from staying at the Royal Hawaiian. I have since become a loyal costumer. I especially like that their products are organic, vegan and locally sourced.
